No need to travel abroad and use only 3 days off at work! After successful try last year we are glad to present Yoga Holiday in NL this year again! Enjoy the last days of warmth and outdoors, reconnect with nature, and practice yoga, meditation and Thai massage in the midst of green country location in the Netherlands with two dedicated Ashtanga yoga teachers: Wendy Manders and Madina Tanekeyeva. This retreat is suitable for all levels yoga practitioners. Teachings are in Dutch and/or English. Dates: Friday, 21 September 2012 - Wednesday, 26 September 2012 Location and accommodation:The retreat will be held on a green land location away from the city life, in the middle of the Dutch country side, with its open fields, forests and little villages around. Walking bare-feet on the grass, hearing birds' singing in the mornings, fresh air and fantastic bicycle routes (bicycles are available for rent) are great compliments to emerging into the yoga practice and recharging the batteries for the approaching winter! Roundabout the accommodation you are welcome to enjoy the beauty that nature has got to offer, disconnect with the concrete jungles of the city dwellers' life, breathe in the prana (vital energy) of country air and reconnect to Earth. ![]() Madina Tanekeyeva is a certified vinyasa / ashtanga yoga teacher. After studying ashtanga vinyasa yoga under the guidance of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and V. Sheshadri in Mysore, India, she has completed a teacher training at the most prominent Dutch studio, "Yoga Moves", in Utrecht. Since then she continued to study with various Indian and Western senior yoga teachers around Europe and Asia. In 2010 Madina has co-founded Astanga Yoga School Amsterdam, the first ashtanga-dedicated school in the Netherlands. She has paid regular visits to Kazakhstan to organize and lead many workshops in Almaty, her home town. In 2012 Madina has moved to London, however she continues teaching workshops in various studios in the Netherlands. Wendy Manders is a certified vinyasa / ashtanga yoga teacher. She completed the training at "Yoga Moves" in Utrecht, and afterwards she attended multiple intensives and workshops with various teachers, amongst others Nancy Gilgoff, John Reid, Clayton Horton and Kino McGregor, all dedicated ashtanga vinyasa yoga teachers. After a few years of teaching at different schools, she opened her own Yoga Sucasa studio in the center of Leiden, where daily classes of ashtanga yoga are offered. Complimentary to yoga, she studied and continues to practice the art of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, a massage of accupressure and stretching based on the holistic vision of the human being, to unite body, mind and spirit. She studied with two very skilled teachers from Thai Hand. |
